The short version
Flikker does not collect data about you. There are no accounts, no analytics and no crash reporting. No server of ours receives any data from the app today.
What stays on your device
The playlist details you enter, such as the server address, username and password, are stored on your device. So are your catalogue, watch history, resume points, favorites and settings. None of it is sent to us.
Who the app talks to
The app connects only to the source address you enter, and to the images and streams that source serves. That source is run by your provider, not by us. Your provider sees those requests under its own privacy terms.
Builds installed directly from flikker.app may in future check flikker.app for a newer version. That check downloads a small version file and sends no identifiers.
Android permissions
- Internet, to reach your source.
- Network state, to see whether the device is connected.
- Keep the screen awake, so playback does not dim the screen.
Children
Flikker collects no data from anyone, including children. Adult categories can be hidden behind a PIN.
This website
This website loads no analytics, no trackers and no third-party scripts or fonts.
Deleting your data
All app data lives on your device. Uninstalling Flikker removes it. To clear cached data without uninstalling, open Settings in the app and choose Clear cache.
Changes
If this policy changes, for example when accounts or Plus arrive, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
